Örnek metin — Are We Ready?
Türkiye is an earthquake country, so being prepared is very important.
First of all, buildings must be built according to the rules. Old buildings should be strengthened, because most people die when buildings collapse, not because of the shaking itself.
Secondly, every family should have an emergency bag. It must contain water, tinned food, a torch and a first-aid kit. Make sure you know where it is.
In addition, schools should have regular drills. If students practise, they will not panic during a real earthquake.
However, many people don't take these precautions. In my opinion, this is the biggest problem. Unless we prepare today, we will pay a heavy price tomorrow.
To sum up, earthquakes cannot be prevented, but their damage can be reduced. Therefore, we must take precautions now.
